Stonington Institute has a longstanding tradition of recovery, originating in 1957 as Starlight Farms, transitioning into a center for those battling addiction and mental health issues, including PTSD. Today, it offers a comprehensive suite of programs grounded in the 12 Steps. Their programs include inpatient detoxification, residential treatment, a partial hospitalization program (PHP) complemented by a sober living environment, and various outpatient services.
Stonington Institute also offers a program specifically designed for active duty military members and veterans. This program addresses the unique challenges faced by military personnel, such as substance abuse, PTSD, and other mental health issues, providing them with specialized care and support to manage and overcome these difficulties. The program leverages a comprehensive approach to treatment, integrating therapy and support systems tailored to the needs of those who have served in the military.
