Medical Wellness Center
The South Bay Guidance Wellness Recovery Center, serving residents of Chula Vista and southern San Diego County, specializes in treating adults aged 18 and older who are dealing with serious mental illnesses and co-occurring substance use disorders. Their comprehensive, community-based services include behavioral health and psychiatric evaluations, medication management, individual and group counseling, peer support, case management, care coordination, mobile outreach, and crisis intervention. Additionally, they offer assistance with education and employment services to support clients’ holistic recovery journeys.
As part of the Community Research Foundation, South Bay Guidance Wellness Recovery Center offers integrated, strength-based, culturally competent, and trauma-informed care. The center actively involves clients in goal-setting and encourages family and significant others to participate in the recovery process. Committed to accessibility, South Bay Guidance provides services in English and Spanish, accepts Medi-Cal, Medi-Cal/Medicare dual insurance, and uninsured individuals, ensuring no one is denied care due to inability to pay.
