Medical Wellness Center
Located at the Rockland Psychiatric Center near the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Orangeburg, Russell E. Blaisdell Addiction Treatment Center offers residential treatment for men with substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns. As part of the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS), the Russell E. Blaisdell Center seeks to ensure accessible care, with no one turned away for inability to pay. The 52-bed facility offers treatment for underserved populations, including registered sex offenders and clients with traumatic brain injuries.
A multidisciplinary team—comprising physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers, and addiction counselors—provides comprehensive services, including routine medical care, medication management, counseling, and case management. Treatment includes methadone maintenance, family education, and aftercare planning. The center offers smoking cessation support along with substance use recovery programs.
