Pyramid Healthcare also offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to help reduce substance cravings, especially for opiates.
Pyramid New River Valley Treatment Center offers individual therapy, implementing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and other evidenced-based models. They also offer trauma-informed care, implementing a trauma recovery empowerment model (TREM). Psychiatrists prescribe and manage medications for co-occurring mental health conditions. Outpatient programs offer individual and group therapy focused on relapse prevention, as well as medication management, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and peer recovery support services.
