Pinnacle Behavioral Health is an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for adolescents ages 11-18 and young adults ages 18-25. We work with individuals who are struggling with mood and anxiety disorders as well as maladaptive behaviors such as self injury, school refusal, suicidal ideation, defiance, and other destructive behaviors. Our Young Adult program specializes in helping patients balance the demands of academic, social, and professional life. All programs offer intensive DBT didactic skill training, medication management with a Board Certified Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist, individualized treatment plans based on the specific needs of each patient and family, as well as our 24/7 crisis support line. The support line allows patients and families to reach out to familiar clinicians outside of programming hours who can assist them with crisis management to reduce destructive behavior patterns and avoid hospitalization.
Pinnacle has three different programs. The Middle and High School programs are evening based (5-8pm) and meet 3 and 4 days per week, respectively. Parent participation is an integral part of the Middle and High School programs as we believe everyone deserves compassion and support. The DBT skills learned during programming facilitate positive change in the home environment by improving communication, reducing conflict, and increasing empathy. The Young Adult program is a daytime program and meets three days per week from 11am-2pm. In addition to DBT skills, Pinnacle focuses on family systems and the development of Executive Functions. We collaborate with all potential supports in the lives of our patients, including schools, outpatient clinicians, psychiatrists, etc.
