About Native American Recovery Center
Native American Recovery focuses on treating Native Americans with substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns through evidence-based therapy and traditional healing practices. The center is located in a residential neighborhood at the base of a mountain in Phoenix, Arizona with beautiful sunrise and sunset views. As part of a holistic approach, clients enjoy many outing opportunities, including hiking trails, visits to museums, sporting events, golf, water activities, theaters, zoos, gardens and more.
Traditional Native American Healing
Native American Recovery employs CBT to treat clients with substance use and mental health disorders. Treatment focuses on psychoeducation, symptom management, health and wellness education, and relapse prevention. Clients participate in individual and group therapy, where they also learn life skills like vocational skills and literacy. Native American Recovery also incorporates traditional healing practices like Sweat Lodge and Talking Circle ceremonies and has daily meditation time. Occupancy is limited to 10 individuals and treatment typically lasts 90 days. Amenities include a shared kitchen and private TV.
