Mount Carmel Behavioral Health is a premier provider of outpatient services for adults age 18 and older. In our intensive outpatient program (IOP), we help individuals who are living with moderate symptoms of behavioral health concerns learn the skills they need to achieve a better quality of life. We treat a variety of mental health disorders as well as co-occurring substance use disorders. Patients may begin treatment at the IOP level or step down to the program from a higher level of care, such as inpatient or residential programming. The IOP can be an ideal option for those who do not require round-the-clock care but may benefit from structured, professional mental healthcare services. Patients in the IOP attend programming three days a week for three hours each day. The flexible schedule of an IOP can make it a desirable option for people who need to continue fulfilling their daily commitments while also receiving treatment. Patients can participate in our IOP for up to 10 weeks, during which time they can learn to manage disruptive symptoms in a productive manner and make strides toward lasting healing.
