Mansfield Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) is located in Mansfield, Ohio, and provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older. MAT is specifically designed to help people who are struggling with addictions to heroin, prescription painkillers, and other opioids experience milder withdrawal symptoms, have fewer cravings, and maintain recovery. Many people might desire to stop using opioids, but the distressing symptoms of withdrawal make long-term recovery extremely difficult. MAT includes the administration of FDA-approved medications like methadone to help alleviate withdrawal symptoms and promote lasting freedom from opioids. In addition to medication, MAT at our CTC includes group and individual therapy sessions to address the psychological elements of addiction. Therapy sessions focus on teaching healthy coping skills to deal with stress, negative emotions, and challenges that may arise during recovery. This can include techniques such as problem-solving, stress management, mindfulness, and emotion regulation.
