Kern Medical’s Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) is a licensed, 25-bed adult facility dedicated to providing individualized care during times of crisis. Their recovery-oriented services aim to stabilize symptoms and empower clients through various therapeutic programs, including psychiatric and medical evaluations, medication education and treatment, individual and group therapy, dialectical and cognitive behavioral therapy skills, substance abuse education, relaxation techniques, coping skills, pet therapy, and connections to community support services. They accept insurance and their health benefit advisors can help clients understand their payment options.
