Located in the beautiful Santa Clara River Valley, Jackson House Santa Paula offers short-term residential treatment for individuals with acute mental health concerns, seeking to bridge the gap between inpatient hospital facilities and facilities with less capacity for supervision and monitoring. Jackson House Santa Clara boasts open, naturally lit spaces, artwork, and outdoor meeting and dining areas. Clients usually stay at Jackson House for about two weeks, but treatment can vary based on need. Jackson House is in-network with most major private insurance companies. Clients and their families enjoy access to other parts of Ventura County via Highway 126 and several bus stops within a 10 minute walk of the center.
Jackson House Santa Paula offers a variety of evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI) group therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) provided by master’s level clinicians. Psychiatrists work with clients to form medication plans at the beginning of their stay and manage medication throughout. Clients participate in music therapy to help them heal through artistic expression. Jackson House integrates family involvement and support, especially when treating genetically-linked conditions like bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Clients participate in life skills training as well as light chores and cooking. Jackson House offers 12-Step programs and SMART recovery for individuals with substance use concerns.
Treatment varies based on condition and clients participate in psychoeducation regarding unique aspects of their conditions. Jackson House offers care specific to the needs of veterans and is in-network with TriWest. Clients receive 60 days of outpatient follow-up with Jackson House staff in order to help ease their transition back to everyday life.
