Intermountain Hospital Boise, located in Boise, Idaho, is a comprehensive mental health and substance use disorder treatment center. They offer a full continuum of care and age-specific programs for the clients they treat. Their programs include a residential program, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and a partial hospitalization program (PHP). The age-specific programs serve the following groups: adolescents (ages 12-17), adults, and older adults. Older Adults Program
Intermountain’s older adults program addresses the unique needs faced by adults later in life. The program addresses mental health and substance use disorders, as well as chronic pain. Intermountain’s treatment goals for the chronic pain program are to help reduce narcotic use and help regulate pain through other means, develop healthy coping skills, and reduce pain in order to increase quality of life. Family involvement is a key component of the program and regular family meetings are scheduled.
