Gifford Street Comprehensive Treatment Center

Gifford Street Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in New Bedford, Massachusetts, offers medication-assisted treatment, or MAT, for adults who are suffering from opioid addictions. MAT combines medication and counseling and has been closely studied in the United States for decades. The FDA-approved prescription medications used in MAT can reduce opioid cravings and withdrawal symptoms, helping people stop opioid use more easily. In addition to receiving medication, patients who take part in MAT at our Comprehensive Treatment Center participate in individual and group therapy to learn how to better respond to triggers that might threaten their commitment to recovery and to meet with others who may understand what they’re going through.
