Conveniently located in Huntington, West Virginia, Huntington Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older who have addictions to opioids like heroin, fentanyl, and prescription painkillers. MAT is evidence-based and combines the use of prescription medications with counseling to comprehensively treat opioid addiction. The medications used in MAT have been approved by the FDA and can alleviate the painful symptoms of opioid withdrawal. Some methadone clinics only provide prescriptions for one type of medication, but at Huntington CTC, we prescribe methadone, buprenorphine, Vivitrol, or Suboxone, depending on the patient’s needs. In addition to prescription medication, our patients receive counseling that can help them build coping skills and practice stress management. Our treatment center aims to address opioid addiction’s physical and emotional aspects together to best support recovery.
