Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based method of treating opioid use disorder. MAT integrates the use of FDA-approved medications with therapeutic interventions to address the physiological, psychological, and emotional aspects of opioid addiction. At Easley Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), MAT is designed to safely alleviate withdrawal symptoms while facilitating long-term recovery. Each patient receives a prescription for medication based on their specific needs. The therapeutic component of MAT includes both individual and group counseling. Group therapy fosters peer support, while individual therapy offers a confidential setting to address personal challenges. These therapeutic modalities are integral to helping patients develop effective coping strategies and achieve sustained recovery.
