Crestwood San Mateo is a Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) serving adults with serious mental health challenges, with four 16-bed units. Operated in collaboration with San Mateo County, this short-term, recovery-focused program helps clients regain stability and purpose. Treatment at Crestwood San Mateo includes approaches like dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and the Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP). The program follows Crestwood’s strengths-based model, integrating trauma-informed care with peer-led support. Yoga and meditation complement these therapies as part of a whole-person approach. Clients develop daily living and communication skills, preparing for greater independence through personalized, recovery-centered activities and vocational readiness opportunities.
