At CenterPointe Hospital of Columbia, we deliver intensive care for adults and seniors who are suffering from acute mental health concerns like depression and schizophrenia. Adults usually stay in our inpatient program for seven to 14 days, while seniors may stay up to 21 days. By offering separate units for adults and seniors, we can effectively address their unique needs. Patients take part in daily group sessions, where they gain tools that can help them overcome their struggles and succeed in their lives posttreatment. Basic medical care is available as necessary, and nurses provide daily medication management services.
