Carolina House, located in Durham, North Carolina, provides residential eating disorder treatment for people who are struggling with anorexia, bulimia, and other eating disorders. We also offer comprehensive treatment for people who have co-occurring mental health concerns. The goal of our residential treatment program is to help people find healing and lasting freedom from the burdens of eating disorders. The average length of stay at this level of care is 30-60 days, but each person’s actual length of stay depends on their unique needs. Treatment at our facility incorporates a number of therapies, including dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), motivational interviewing (MI), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). While in treatment, clients can also benefit from medical care, medication management services, and individual, group, family, and experiential therapies.
