About ARC House – Paterson

ARC House is a 15-bed residential treatment center in Madison, Wisconsin, dedicated to helping women overcome substance use disorders. Established in 1976 as the flagship program of ARC Community Services, it provides specialized care for women referred by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. All referrals come through probation and parole, and the program is offered at no cost to participants, with primary funding from the Department of Corrections.

ARC’s residential services offer a homelike environment that fosters dignity, respect, and healing while avoiding retraumatization, aiming to strengthen connections with family, loved ones, and the community. Multidisciplinary staff provide comprehensive support, including substance use assessments, strengths-based case management, individual and group therapy, medication-assisted treatment support, and continuing care planning for a successful return to the community.
