Akua Mind Body – Mental Health & Addiction LB

Akua Strong Facility at Long Beach offers outpatient dual-diagnosis treatment for adults suffering from substance use and mental health disorders. We provide IOP & PHP programs that include many treatment modalities, such as psychotherapy approaches, medications, and holistic approaches such as yoga, meditation, and mindfulness therapies. Evidence-based treatment for dual-diagnosis disorders includes drugs or psychotherapy, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, or a combination. Medications are prescribed for specific conditions evaluated by our medical director: whereas psychotherapy, in one form or another, can be used for mental health disorders. We also provide medical evaluations and individual and group therapies and offer family therapy for those looking to rebuild relationships.
