Medical Wellness Center
Since 1982, Bowling Green Brandywine has treated men and women facing drug and alcohol addiction, as well as co-occurring mental health disorders. Located in the scenic Brandywine River Valley in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, the center offers evidence-based care in a peaceful setting designed to support recovery.
Bowling Green provides a full spectrum of care, including medically monitored detoxification, inpatient rehab, dual diagnosis support, day treatment (PHP), and residential programs. Their clinical team incorporates 12-Step facilitation and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to support long-term recovery across a wide range of substance use disorders.
The center specializes in treating opioid addiction, co-occurring disorders, and chemical dependency in pregnant women. Pregnant clients age 18 and older receive a carefully managed detox, as well as access to residential treatment. Their stay includes OBGYN appointments, nutritional counseling, extra rest, and full participation in the core treatment program.
The center accepts most major forms of insurance, including Maryland and Delaware Medicaid. They also accept Pennsylvania county funding, all Pennsylvania managed medical assistance. They take Medicare if the client has active medical assistance coverage.
The campus resembles a peaceful apartment complex, offering shared accommodations with 2 to 4 residents per room. Clients enjoy a mix of structured physical activities and recreational options like volleyball. On-site meals are homemade and tailored to meet medical or dietary needs, with special attention given to individual health requirements.
