About Foothills at Red Oak Recovery
With a focus on adolescent males ages 14 to 17, Foothills at Red Oak Recovery is a holistic wellness program situated on a 94-acre working horse farm. They focus on substance abuse treatment, trauma treatment, co-occurring disorders, and eating disorder treatment. Their practices are suited best for teenage boys and target long-term recovery. Foothills does so by addressing the underlying factors contributing to the teens’ symptoms like trauma, depression, anxiety, behaviors of defiance, substance use, school avoidance, and behavioral addictions such as gaming. Their “developmental approach normalizes underlying challenges while holding individuals accountable for their choices.”
Education is important to Foothills, they provide an on-site school with in-house teachers to help support clients while in the program. The teen boys are also able to participate in activities like equine therapy, ropes course, adventure activities, sports, yoga, and mindfulness, in addition to traditional group and individual therapies. This provides well-rounded care and a holistic experience. Foothills is dedicated to helping troubled teen boys out of a tough time in their life to better prepare them for so much life ahead.
Foothills at Red Oak Recovery is part of Bradford Health Services, which cares for adults in the southeastern United States in their residential, day (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment centers.
