Medical Wellness Center
Located in the Western North Carolina region, Asheville Detox Center offers a 16-bed medical detox program for adults in a peaceful, comfortable environment. Asheville Detox Center provides medical detox services for drug and alcohol addiction. Clients spend 7-10 days in detox with 24/7 clinical supervision. An initial assessment guides treatment and helps determine if medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is needed and which medication will suit their needs.
Asheville Detox Center’s detox program offerings include a medical detox, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), IV drip therapy, and aftercare planning. Their NAD+ therapy (IV therapy) acts as a supplement to detox and promotes hydration, cell regeneration, and overall health. Asheville Detox Center specializes in detoxing clients from alcohol and drugs, including alcohol, methamphetamines, opioids, prescription drugs, benzodiazepines, and more.
Asheville Detox Center’s staff monitor detox 24/7 for additional safety and personalized care. A detox specialist evaluates each client to determine the level of care and detox length. The assessment also includes a medical evaluation of past substance use, co-occurring conditions, health history, and evaluating lifestyle habits.
Asheville Detox Center’s clinicians are specifically trained in detox, MAT, and medication administration. They carefully determine side effects, if any, and potential drug interactions before prescribing an approved MAT medication. Clients have a case manager throughout the process, who helps them connect to the next steps in their recovery journey. Asheville Detox Center can refer clients to affiliated residential or outpatient treatment centers.
In addition to detox services, clients at Asheville Detox receive evidence-based addiction treatment. Therapies consist of cognitive behavioral therapy (CTB), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (M-CBT), and more. Patients will generally spend 2 hours per week in 1:1 therapy, and up to 21 hours per week participating in group counseling sessions. All group activities are optional.
