Contact with family is not allowed in most circumstances during this time, but clients are allowed 2 weekly phone calls following detox. Clients engage in group therapy, including gender-specific groups for trauma. Pyramid uses a 12-Step model, with AA and NA meetings as part of treatment. Psychiatrists prescribe and manage medications for co-occurring mental health conditions.
