Medical Wellness Center
WhiteSands Treatment has multiple residential and outpatient recovery centers located throughout Florida for those seeking treatment for addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. Their Hyde Park location is a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and intensive outpatient program (IOP) designed for women who are transitioning to a lower level of care or for those who may need a more intensive level of care but are unable to go into residential treatment. Their PHP is a highly-structured day program consisting of 5 hours of recovery related activities per day, 6 days per week, participating in various group or individual therapies promoting skill-building and community connection. The spacious renovated Victorian Home provides the option for women in their partial hospitalization program (PHP) to reside in their facility as part of their transitional housing, offering private rooms and luxury amenities. The intensive outpatient program (IOP), is a step down from PHP, requiring less time and commitment with 3 hours of treatment per day, 3 days a week. Their IOP is group structured and focuses on relapse prevention, coping mechanisms, and fostering healthy life-skills to achieve long-term sobriety.
The recovery and wellness program at WhiteSands is a structured program providing long-term support focused on relapse prevention. At the beginning of the treatment process, each patient is assigned a personal life skills guide to assist them with their individual recovery plans and reaching their treatment goals. A life skills guide works with residents to develop the skills and life balance needed to maintain long-term sobriety, focusing on an individual’s overall wellness. As patients transition through different levels of treatment, WhiteSands recovery and wellness programs address any concerns or barriers that may come up in the process. This includes allowing patients to continue seeing the same doctors and psychiatric providers once they return home if possible, avoiding having to start over with a new provider. If there will be a switch in treatment providers, patients are introduced to outpatient therapists by their inpatient provider, where relevant information and history is provided. Long-term relapse prevention plans are created, identifying areas and behaviors that may fall back into addictive patterns and addressing them before they happen. Access to a 24-hour hotline and virtual check-in and alumni meetings also provide ongoing support and structure.
