About The Steward House at Silver Hill
The Steward House at Silver Hill is the product of collaboration among the leading psychiatry institutions of Yale New Haven Health and the Department of Psychiatry at Yale School of medicine. The Steward House program is designed for high-achieving executives and professionals who struggle with substance use and co-occurring conditions. Their individualized program is founded on evidence-based therapies and staffed by a team of experts. A team of expert mental health professionals develop an individualized treatment program tailored for each client. The goals of the treatment plan focus on rebuilding the client’s acquired skills and restoring the ability to manage conflicts, challenges, and outcomes. Treatment begins with a comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessment. Clients can receive medication and supportive therapy with the program psychiatrist. Therapy can include individual and group therapy, family counseling, self help, wellness, and recreational activities. A typical day at the Steward House includes both structured activities and free time. Weekends are less structured and include wellness groups, chapel service, and time for family visitation.
