Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is a highly effective, research-backed method of treating opioid use disorder. By combining FDA-approved medications with therapy, MAT helps individuals address the physical, mental, and emotional challenges of opioid addiction. At Ridgeland Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), our personalized MAT program is designed to safely ease withdrawal symptoms while promoting long-term recovery. Each patient’s medication is prescribed based on their unique needs, and our therapy sessions — both individual and group — offer valuable support. In group therapy, patients can connect with others who have had similar experiences, while individual therapy provides a private, supportive space to explore personal concerns. Together, these elements of MAT help individuals build healthier behaviors, develop coping skills, and find meaningful emotional support on their path to recovery.
