Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) combines the use of prescription medication with counseling sessions to promote long-term opioid addiction recovery. MAT can minimize the effects of physical withdrawal, allowing a person to focus on the psychological component of addiction recovery. MAT has been widely studied and proved to be effective in treating opioid addiction. At Longwood Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), we believe in the healing potential of MAT, and we provide MAT services for adults age 18 and older who are battling symptoms of opioid use disorder. We offer individual and group therapy sessions that can give you the opportunity to build a strong support system during your time at our treatment center. Through meaningful conversations with peers and counselors, you will have the chance to explore the mental, social, and emotional aspects of recovery. You can build bonds with adults who share similar experiences and work toward your treatment goals with a sense of community and camaraderie.
