When adolescents are struggling with eating disorders, it is important that they receive individualized, age-appropriate care. Young people respond differently to treatment than adults do, so they must have access to care that is tailored to meet them where they are developmentally, emotionally, and socially. At Montecatini, we offer a residential treatment program specifically for female-identifying and nonbinary adolescents ages 12-18 who are suffering from feeding and eating disorders like anorexia, bulimia, binge-eating disorder, and avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder. The average length of stay in our adolescent residential program is 30-45 days, but each person’s actual length of stay depends on their treatment progress. While in the program, adolescents live on our campus and have access to support 24 hours a day, seven days a week. By coming to Montecatini, adolescents are able to step away from the stressors of their everyday lives and focus on themselves and their healing journey.
