Jacob’s Ladder

Located in the rural community of Aurora, Jacob’s Ladder offers a 6- month residential program for men overcoming drug and alcohol addiction. Their program fuses holistic activities and therapies with 12-Step programming. Their rustic campus resides on 100+ acres of rolling pastures and forest and features shared bedrooms, a library, kitchen and dining area, art and music studios, and shared common spaces. Clients can enjoy workout classes, meditation, music & art programming, and wilderness adventure therapy. Additionally, clients support the beautiful grounds by working on the Jacob’s Ladder farm. Family therapy is also available along with cooking classes and yoga.

“A typical “day on the ladder” includes daily chores, morning and evening meditation, mindful farming, lecture/education, step work, structured free time, 12-step meetings, and Jacob’s Ladder Community Meetings. Once or twice weekly, off-site recreation, recreation therapy, and individual, group, and/or family therapy should be expected.”

Jacob’s Ladder is Joint Commission accredited and accepts some private insurances and offers self-pay options. For more additional details concerning treatment, prospective clients can view a Netflix documentary “Recovery Boys”, which follows four men participating in the Jacob’s Ladder program.
